What platform do you use for virtual sessions? How do I connect to a virtual session?

I use the secure, PIPEDA, and HIPAA compliant platform, Jane to connect to virtual sessions. About 30 minutes before your scheduled session, you will receive a one-time link to join the virtual session. You can join through a desktop, laptop, or a mobile device such as a phone, iPad, or tablet. If you use a mobile device, you will need to download the Jane App before connecting to the session.

How can I book, reschedule, or cancel a session?

You can book, reschedule, or cancel a session online through your Jane account. You can use this link to access your Jane account or click the "Book Online" button at the top right corner of this webpage. If you are a new client, you will be prompted to create a Jane account before booking. I encourage you to bookmark the Jane login page for easy access to your account. You can also book, reschedule, or cancel a session by contacting me directly by email or phone, if you prefer. 

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no shows are subject to a cancellation fee. First time late cancellations or no shows are subject to an $80 fee. Subsequent late cancellations or no shows are subject to the full session fee of $163.85. These fees are not covered by your insurance. 

Do you offer sliding scale prices?

Yes, I am able to offer sliding scale prices to assist clients of all incomes.

Are your services covered under insurance?

Most insurance plans do offer coverage for psychotherapy services; however, every insurance plan is different. I encourage you to check with your insurance plan to ensure that you have coverage and to determine how much coverage you have.

What types of payment do you accept?

I accept payments online through Jane by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, and Debit Mastercard. I also accept payments by e-transfer to ericecounselling@gmail.com.
